Welcome

BioEGOFET (Electrolyte-Gated Organic Field-Effect BIOsensors) is collaborative research project involving 6 European organisations.

The overall objective of BioEGOFET

The BioEGOFET FP7 project aims at creating an organic electronic transistor that can detect biological markers.

BioEGOFET will develop low cost, disposable biosensors with an electrical response that could be used at the doctor’s office. Electronic transduction is provided by an organic transistor. Fabrication on flexible plastic or paper substrates will be provided by printing techniques.

The project started on 1 February 2010 and will last 2 years. It will receive a total funding of 1,830,000 euros from the European Commission under FP7 (Theme 3: Information and Communication Technologies)

To achieve its objectives, the Project will combine the expertise of key players in the fields of OFETS and organic sensors.

The BioEGOFET project is coordinated by Prof. Gilles HOROWITZ, Université Paris Diderot (France).
